It’s New…It’s Different

Sighing Phillip stated, “Learning about other food options and having a desire to change isn’t enough to counter my love of eating hamburgers, topped with fries and a drink of soda but I am getting better at making choices.”

People fail for many reasons. Taking time to—make nutritious food instead of driving through and quickly eating  a hamburger or grabbing a drink of water instead of soda can be a big lifestyle change for some people. It’s new…it’s different and habits take time to change. Once Phillip got the fact that he had choices, or at least his brain did, he was able to take it one day at a time. Laughing Phillip stated that his Lifestyle Longevity commitment reminded him of the  song his mother sang to him as a child.

One day at a time sweet Jesus

That’s all I’m askin’ of you.

Just give me the strength

To do every day what I have to do

Yesterday’s gone sweet Jesus

And tomorrow may never be mine

Lord, help me today, show me the way

One day at a time
